Job summary

Energy Transfer in Louisiana is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to provide technical support to construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventative maintenance on control systems, gas and liquid facilities, pipelines, SCADA, and related equipment.

The role requires PLC/DCS experience, reading schematics, and adherence to DOT and PSM regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Experience troubleshooting control systems and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with DOT 192/193/195 and PSM standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems and instrument equipment components.
• Read, interpret manuals, drawings, and schematics including P&IDs.
• Test, calibrate, and document plant and compressor station control devices per DOT/PSM.
• Provide work direction and mentoring to third party contractors.
• Participate in on-call requirements and safety programs.
• Maintain documentation and reporting of maintenance activities.
