Job summary

Energy Transfer in Odessa, TX seeks an instrument and electrical technician to support construction, plant facilities and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on control systems, gas compression or pump stations, SCADA, and related equipment.

You will inspect and maintain PLC/DCS and process controls, read schematics, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. On-call and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Experience with control solutions, PLC/DCS and documentation.
• Knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 standards.
• Proficiency with MS Office; ability to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA systems and related equipment.
• Read manuals, standards, drawings and schematics for systems.
• Test, calibrate, and document control devices per regulations.
• Provide on-call support and respond to operational issues.
• Mentor less experienced staff and supervise contractors.
• Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
