Shelter House is seeking a Hypothermia Coordinator for Mon-Fri, 4pm-12am, to support the temporary Hypothermia program in Fort Belvoir, VA. You will set up the program space, transport participants with a Shelter House vehicle, conduct orientations, distribute meals, and ensure participant needs are met during the operating season from November 15 to April 1.

Responsibilities include safety monitoring, enforcing guidelines, documenting participant information, and coordinating with case

Responsabilidades

• Monitor participant safety and conduct walkthroughs with accurate counts.
• Enforce shelter guidelines and respond to conflicts using de-escalation techniques.
• Report incidents and maintain participant dignity and confidentiality.
• Complete participant intakes, orientations, and required paperwork.
• Explain shelter guidelines, schedules, and services.
• Distribute supplies and connect participants with case management services.
• Set up sleeping areas and maintain cleanliness and safety.
