Job summary

Leidos Defense Sector is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Program Manager to support the Hypersonics Portfolio. You will serve as the primary interface between Hypersonics Program leadership and Manufacturing, leading cross-site integration and driving manufacturing performance across multiple sites.

The role requires extensive experience in complex hardware programs, EVMS, budgeting, scheduling, and readiness assessments, with US citizenship and eligibility for a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with baselining, budgeting, scheduling, and performance reporting.
• Demonstrated CAM experience on complex hardware production programs.
• Experience coordinating activities between Program organizations and Manufacturing.
• Proficiency in EVMS and earned value performance reporting.
• Experience collaborating across geographically dispersed sites or functional groups.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Residency in, or willingness to relocate to, the Huntsville/North Alabama area.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main connection between Hypersonics Program leadership and Manufacturing.
• Lead the Hypersonics manufacturing integration team.
• Support proposal and capture efforts for new or emerging opportunities.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, including non-recurring planning elements.
• Partner with site leaders and functional managers to create Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for manufacturing, testing, and supporting activities.
• Coordinate budgets with Program and Manufacturing finance teams to ensure alignment and capacity planning.
• Monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Use earned value management principles and KPIs to drive performance.
• Provide variance analysis, rationale, and corrective actions when required.
• Maintain recurring cross site reviews to assess progress and address issues.
• Provide clear manufacturing and testing updates to Program leadership.
• Ensure a consistent and transparent communication path between Program office and Manufacturing.
