Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Systems Engineering Sr Manager to lead hardware engineering for the LRHW program, including BOC, TEL and AE system elements. You will manage a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring robust designs and timely problem resolution, while partnering with customers and program leadership.

The role requires deep systems engineering expertise, leadership experience on large government programs, and the ability to mentor leaders in a dynamic defense environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an engineering or management role with responsibility for delivery of spacecraft, missile or related defense systems.
• Detailed understanding of Systems Engineering principles and processes.
• Experience leading teams on large government development programs, or equivalent.
• Experience managing complex prime- or sub-contractors.
• Demonstrated business acumen, management influence and systems thinking.
• Eligibility to be granted a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary hardware engineering team responsible for LRHW elements, including direction, planning, staffing, and scope execution.
• Ensure world-class engineering support to LRHW production operations with high-quality, on-time deliveries.
• Plan and manage engineering resources to execute LRHW scope in coordination with leadership.
• Provide guidance across the engineering lifecycle from architecture to weapons system integration and sustainment.
• Oversee major subcontractors and suppliers, including technical evaluation of proposals.
