Job summary

Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI in New York. We seek an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to own end-to-end data center network design and implementation for hyperscale sites.

You will select optics (400G/800G), plan fiber plant, coordinate with power and cooling, and integrate with DCIM tools like NetBox. We expect deep hands-on experience with large-scale DC networks and a passion for scalable, reliable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Designed hyperscale or cloud-provider DCN for large-scale deployments.
• Expert in structured cabling systems and MPO/MTP ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of optical standards and transceivers (400G/800G).
• Ability to manage fiber loss budgets and testing methodologies.
• Experience integrating designs into DCIM tools such as NetBox or similar.
• Bonus: RCDD certification or advanced optics roadmapping.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end physical implementation of data center networks.
• Collaborate with power, cooling, and construction teams and read drawings.
• Break down port maps into physical cross-connect schedules and automate mapping.
• Specify cable types and model fiber utilization across generations.
• Select optics by reach and loss budget and ensure interoperability.
• Maintain design standards and integrate with NetBox/DCIM.
