Job summary

Fluidstack is seeking an experienced on-site expert to lead data center operations, owning the critical infrastructure stack (power and cooling) and driving rapid, reliable responses to incidents. You will manage high-risk maintenance changes, audit partner maintenance programs, and coordinate with vendors to keep the site operating at peak reliability.

You will act as the on-site authority for escalations, build playbooks, and scale operational practices as the data center grows.

Qualifications

• Operated or led live data center facilities with responsibility for physical infra.
• Deep knowledge of the critical-infrastructure stack (power and cooling) used on-site.
• Managed changes for high-risk maintenance and held partners to standards.
• Calm and capable in incident response, including off-hours situations.
• Audited, documented, and improved the site’s operating posture.
• Bonus: hyperscale or colocation ops, fault-tolerance familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site SME for data center critical infrastructure and manage escalations.
• Audit design limitations and assess partners’ maintenance programs for effectiveness.
• Own the change management process for high-risk maintenance activities.
• Act as first responder on-site for incidents, coordinating with engineering.
• Collaborate with colo partners and internal teams to ensure site reliability.
