Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Field Engineering Site Lead to coordinate on-site engineering services at a hyperscale data center. You will lead fiber optic testing, troubleshooting, and repair activities, ensuring safe, on-time delivery and high quality standards for the duration of the project (approx.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Background in project management or operational planning.
• Willingness to remain within the geographical area of the project for its full duration (approximately 2–3 years).
• Desirable PMP certification, construction/project planning familiarity, fiber optic experience, and 5+ years of leadership.

Responsibilities

• Track project run rates, quality metrics, defect trends, and labor utilization to drive efficiency and meet deadlines.
• Coordinate staffing, equipment, and training readiness for on-site Field Engineering teams, including vendors.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for daily/weekly customer updates; report status to stakeholders.
• Partner with Field Engineering teams to resolve obstacles, staffing gaps, equipment issues, and site-access challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying trends in testing, troubleshooting, and repair performance.
