Job summary

Corning Inc. in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Solutions Innovation Engineer to drive differentiated data-center solutions. You will engage with customers, identify unmet needs, and guide concepts from early prototyping through commercialization, advancing Corning's optical innovation leadership.

You will work with Prototyping, Engineering, Legal, and Sales to quantify value propositions, protect IP, and deliver market-ready solutions for hyperscale data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• Experience prototyping to validate concepts and value propositions.
• Project management for innovation projects on time and budget.

Responsibilities

• Research customer challenges in the data center market through direct engagement and events.
• Collaborate with Prototyping and Engineering on rapid prototype development and early feedback.
• Gather, report, and present technical findings to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Drive engineering studies that quantify solution value propositions and customer adoption.
• Support IP filings and related filings in collaboration with Legal teams.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Data Center solutions and innovations.
