Job summary

HDR is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join its Hydropower program in the Southeast. You will lead analysis, design, and construction for large-scale dams and critical power infrastructure across the region, while coordinating field investigations and lab testing.

Preferred candidates hold a NC PE license and have 5+ years of geotechnical experience, including dam safety and instrumentation. Opportunities include project management and client engagement in a employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or MS degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering.
• PE license recognized by the NC licensing board.
• 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, design, and construction for dam modification and power infrastructure.
• Drive project workflows, planning, and geotechnical field investigations.
• Coordinate laboratory testing programs and geotechnical analyses and reports.
