Job summary

Weston & Sampson seeks a Hydrologist III or Engineer III for our Water discipline in a New England office. The role emphasizes hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and field data collection for urban stormwater projects.

You'll work with a multidisciplinary team, clearly communicating results and traveling regionally. A BS is required; MS preferred; EIT encouraged. Remote collaboration within the network is supported.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or similar required.
• MS is a plus.
• EIT or ability to pass exam within six months preferred.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling is required.
• GIS analyses experience is required.
• Experience with stormwater design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses of surface water systems and watersheds.
• Model stormwater BMPs, green infrastructure, and LID projects.
• Prepare Letter of Map Revision applications.
• Use HydroCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and PCSWMM to support design.
• Work independently and communicate results to a multidisciplinary team.
• Prepare written and verbal summaries for technical and lay audiences.
• Perform field work to collect data for model development.
• Travel to client meetings and project sites regionally.
