Weston & Sampson is seeking a Hydrologist III or Engineer III with 2–5 years of experience for our Water discipline in a New England office. The role focuses on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, with an emphasis on urban stormwater.

You will analyze surface water systems, model BMPs/LID projects, and prepare LO MR applications while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Travel within New England and mid-Atlantic regions is expected.

Qualifikationen

• BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
• MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering is a plus.
• EIT or ability to pass exam within 6 months preferred.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling is required.
• GIS analyses experience is required.
• Experience modeling stormwater BMPs and green infrastructure is a plus.
• 1–5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel within New England and mid-Atlantic regions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Conduct analyses of surface water systems including watersheds, rivers, and lakes.
• Model and support design of stormwater BMPs, green infrastructure, and LID projects.
• Prepare Letter of Map Revision applications.
• Proficient with HydroCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and PCSWMM.
• Communicate results clearly to multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare concise written and verbal summaries for technical and lay audiences.
• Perform field measurements to support model development.
• Travel to client sites within New England and beyond as needed.
