Weston & Sampson Engineers Inc. is seeking a Hydrologist III or Engineer III with 2–5 years of experience for our Water discipline in a New England office. The role focuses on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, particularly of urban stormwater.

You will model surface water systems, support stormwater BMP design, prepare LOMR applications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Some travel within New England and beyond will be required.

Qualifikationen

• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering required.
• MS is a plus.
• EIT or ability to pass exam within six months preferred.
• Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling required.
• GIS analyses and mapping experience required.
• Stormwater BMP, green infrastructure, and LID project experience a plus.
• 0–5 years of related experience; strong interest in surface water hydrology.

Aufgaben

• Conduct analyses and computer-aided evaluations of surface water systems.
• Model and support design of stormwater BMPs, green infrastructure, and LID.
• Prepare Letter of Map Revision applications.
• Proficiently use HydroCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and PCSWMM.
• Work independently and communicate results to a multidisciplinary team.
• Prepare clear written and verbal summaries for technical and lay audiences.
• Conduct field work to gather measurements for model development.
• Travel to client meetings and project sites within New England and beyond.
