Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Technical Advisor to manage construction activities at customer sites, directing site crews, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring execution aligns with project goals and policies.

The role requires 5+ years of hydroelectric generator experience, strong leadership, and hands-on capability with heavy industrial equipment. You will travel to sites nationwide, supervise teams, and contribute to safety-driven, cost-aware project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hydroelectric generator experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Deep knowledge of repair/replacement practices for heavy industrial machinery.
• Experience with maintaining multi‑purpose hydroelectric facilities (dams, powerhouses).
• Knowledge of safe operation practices for heavy construction equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan project activities, allocate resources, and keep site docs up to date.
• Lead safety, perform risk assessments, and pause work if safety or quality standards are compromised.
• Perform in‑process rewind tests and fault investigations.
• Be primary customer and subcontractor contact; train and manage team.
• Support pre‑bid walks, help develop cost estimates, track project risks.
