Job summary

ChampionX is hiring a Field Service Technician (Hydraulics) in Watford City, ND. You will perform maintenance, installations and troubleshooting at well sites, including Jet Pump and multiplex pump systems, while ensuring safety and high-quality service.

You will write accurate service tickets, participate in on-call rotations, and build strong customer relationships as part of a team committed to continuous improvement and field excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be age 21 or older to drive company vehicle.
• High school diploma or GED.
• One year work-related experience as a field service mechanic troubleshooting multiplex pumps and jet pump systems.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical skills for field maintenance of artificial lift equipment at wellsites.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to troubleshoot customer issues and manage difficult situations.
• Accountability for quality and timeliness of work.
• Strong safety focus in all tasks.
• Immigration sponsorship not offered for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to advanced maintenance, new equipment installations and troubleshooting in shop or field.
• Commissioning and decommissioning multiplex pump skids at oil and gas well sites.
• Repair and troubleshoot multiplex pumps and related components (motors, VSDs, switches, meters, valves).
• Troubleshoot, repair and service Jet Pump systems for artificial lift.
• Complete preventive maintenance on described equipment.
• Write service tickets accurately and promptly.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and company vehicle.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Develop relationships with customers through professional communication.
• Respond to customer calls and provide technical assistance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the department.
