Job summary

Premium Oilfield Technologies in Williston, ND is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, and support RCD and MPD systems at oilfield sites. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, deliver and install equipment at wellsites, and perform preventative maintenance while ensuring safety and quality in field operations.

The role requires a hands‑on mindset, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical or mechanical training is preferred.
• Oilfield or field service experience strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) are expected.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities are important.
• Ability to work independently in high‑pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair RCD and MPD systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Deliver and install equipment at wellsites.
• Perform equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Complete service tickets, delivery documentation, and required reports.
• Manage tools, replacement parts, equipment, and field inventory.
• Train rig crews on RCD bearing and sealing‑element operation and maintenance.
• Work with customers and internal teams to ensure successful operations.
• Operate and troubleshoot pressure‑control equipment and MPD software systems.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with incident reports and investigations as needed.
• Be available for flexible schedules including nights and weekends.

What You’ll Do

As a Field Service Technician, you will:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair RCD and MPD systems
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Deliver and install equipment at wellsites
• Perform equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
• Complete service tickets, delivery documentation, and required reports
• Manage tools, replacement parts, equipment, and field inventory
• Train rig crews on proper RCD bearing and sealing‑element operation and maintenance
• Work directly with customers and internal teams to ensure successful operations
• Operate and troubleshoot pressure‑control equipment and MPD software systems
• Follow all company and customer safety policies and procedures
• Assist with incident reports, non‑conformance reports, and investigations when needed
• Be available for flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts as operational needs require

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Technical or mechanical training preferred
• Previous oilfield or field service experience strongly preferred
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and other stakeholders
• Highly organized with the ability to remain effective in high‑pressure situations
• Ability to work independently and respond to changing field conditions

Physical Requirements

This is a hands‑on field position. You must be able to:

• Stand, sit, walk, reach, and use your hands to handle equipment and tools
• Lift up to 45 pounds
• Operate motor vehicles as required
• Perform physically demanding field activities for extended periods
