Job summary

Motion is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site service, repair, maintenance and installation of hydraulic systems and equipment for regional customers. You will diagnose problems, carry out repairs, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while delivering strong customer support.

Under direct supervision, you will work with a team to service equipment at customer sites, schedule preventive maintenance, and respond to on-call requests.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a technical degree and 0–3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
• Ability to operate shop equipment safely.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work effectively with customers, peers and management to resolve client issues.

Responsibilities

• Performs on-site services for new and existing clients, including emergency repairs and upgrades on a 24/7 on-call basis.
• Installation, diagnostics, repair and support for equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnoses problems, assesses extent, documents findings and decides on repair or parts replacement.
• Communicates technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders and updates customers on progress.
