Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking an team member to provide high-quality customer service for freight movements, including documentation for U.S. customs and coordination with brokers and clients.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and data accuracy to ensure timely release and movement of shipments. The position involves handling post-entry activities, payment terms, and coordination with internal departments.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of brokerage or transportation experience and/or customer service experience preferred.
• MS Office, Outlook, Office equipment required.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Knowledge in HTS classification & familiar with the harmonized tariff system.
• Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations & other federal regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide impeccable customer service.
• Prepare, analyze, and/or submit documentation to the appropriate parties (U.S. Customs, agents, clients) to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems delaying freight release/movement.
• Maintain relationships with brokers, T&B, and other service providers to exceed service requirements.
• Resolve banking and letter of credit problems.
• Advise customers on payment terms.
• Obtain payment on delinquent accounts and/or complete accounting adjustment forms.
• Resolve billing issues and coordinate post-entry activity.
• Input data accurately into computer systems.
• Perform root cause analysis as directed.
• Coordinate post-entry activities for customers.
• Manage the entry verification process.
• Access clients’ external systems as necessary.
• Correspond with business partners via written, phone, or email.
• Produce operational trend reports.
• Communicate exception updates to partners.
• Pre alerts – respond as needed per SOP.
• Maintain knowledge of FedEx products and services.
• Interact with customers and internal teams at all levels.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer front-line personnel.
• Facilitate entry processing and post-arrival resolution.
