New York Life Group Benefit Solutions is seeking a full-time Underwriting Analyst for the LAUNCH program in a hybrid setting. You’ll learn underwriting concepts, assess risk, and communicate pricing to matrix partners while supporting the team’s financial goals.

LAUNCH offers classroom and hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities to apply skills to real opportunities. Travel is limited (<10%).

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Preferred 3.0 GPA or higher.
• High comfort level with math/numbers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A passion and dedication to becoming a leader within the financial services industry.
• Strong business acumen with leadership and innovative thinking and customer‑centricity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured LAUNCH training focusing on technical training and professional development opportunities.
• Apply concepts learned in the program by working on active business opportunities with mentor support.
• Support a sales region after LAUNCH and continue training opportunities to enhance underwriting knowledge.
• Engage in project opportunities across Underwriting and other NYL departments.
