Job summary

Addison Group in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Trial Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling Commercial and Construction Litigation. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented legal professional who can work independently, anticipate attorney needs, and manage cases from inception through trial.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, experience in both Commercial and Construction Litigation, and strong trial preparation skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Experience in both Commercial Litigation and Construction Litigation.
• Strong trial litigation experience, including trial preparation and supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process.
• Experience with Texas court filings, discovery, docket management, and litigation deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to anticipate attorney needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Commercial Litigation and Construction Litigation matters from inception through trial.
• Draft, prepare, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
• Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness materials, and coordinating deposition, mediation, and hearing materials.
• Manage litigation calendars, court deadlines, docketing, and case files to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and court personnel throughout the litigation process.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation using Filevine.
• Track attorney time and assist with timekeeping using LMS.
• Anticipate attorney needs, proactively manage competing priorities, and ensure cases remain organized and trial-ready.
• Travel approximately 5–6 times per year to support trials.
