Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States is seeking a Training & Development Specialist Health Center Associate – IA to lead onboarding and staff training at Des Moines clinics. You will develop training resources and coordinate programs that improve patient experience and staff competency.

This role requires travel to other Iowa locations for initial and ongoing staff development, with a focus on front desk and non-clinical staff.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience
• Current BLS certificate for healthcare providers
• Experience training and supporting new employees
• Working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and trains newly hired health center associates in Family Planning and Abortion Care as assigned.
• Evaluates onboarding effectiveness for health center staff.
• Collaborates with staff and leadership to identify training needs and develop interventions and materials.
• Designs training materials including instructor-led trainings, guides, eLearnings, and presentations.
• Develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates training programs aligned with the organization’s plan.
• Travels to PPNCS locations to train staff and provide on-the-job evaluation.
• Models and promotes Planned Parenthood’s engagement and patient experience framework.
• Supports leaders in evaluating staff and providing development solutions for high performance.
• Manages training records and coordinates all training activities and materials.
