Planned Parenthood North Central States is seeking a Training & Development Specialist Health Center Associate for IA. You will design and deliver trainer-led programs, onboarding health center staff, and supporting competency development across sites in Iowa and nearby states.

The role emphasizes onboarding front desk and back-office staff, with occasional travel to PPNCS locations. It offers full-time hours, hourly pay, and benefits in a union environment within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience.
• Current BLS Certificate for healthcare providers.
• Experience training and supporting new employees.
• Working knowledge of technology including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and trains newly hired health center associates in Family Planning and Abortion Care as assigned.
• Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of onboarding for health center associates.
• Works with organizational staff and leadership to understand and assess needs and develops appropriate interventions and materials.
• Designs and develops training materials used to train, mentor and coach staff in performing their job functions.
• Travels to any of the PPNCS locations to provide initial and ongoing on the job training and evaluation for staff.
• Maintains training records as well as checking and tracking competency forms.
• Coordinates training activities and all relevant information.
• Maintains of all training materials.
