Job summary

Planned Parenthood North Central States is seeking a Training & Development Specialist Health Center Associate for Des Moines, IA. The role focuses on onboarding health center staff, designing training materials, and coordinating learning programs across locations.

The position offers a hybrid schedule, with some evenings, travel to Iowa/Minnesota/South Dakota locations, and SEIU representation. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits included.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certificate for healthcare providers.
• Experience effectively training and supporting new employees.
• Working knowledge of technology necessary to perform job function including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for and trains newly hired health center associates in Family Planning and Abortion Care as assigned.
• Works with organizational staff and leadership to understand and assess needs and develops appropriate interventions and materials.
• Designs and develops training materials for staff trainings, mentoring and coaching.
• Develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates training programs aligned with the organization’s plan.
