Job summary

Medidata Solutions is hiring a Technical Support Engineer in a hybrid remote/in-office setup to act as the primary liaison among support teams and core engineering. You will diagnose, implement fixes, and document resolutions while updating customers and collaborating across R&D.

The role requires strong API and SQL skills, experience with C#, JS, Visual Studio, and AI-enabled tooling, and a commitment to continuous learning in a GMP-style environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent engineering experience.
• Experience with API/web services.
• SQL experience querying/modifying data (MySQL, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, Snowflake).
• Experience with C#, JavaScript, Visual Studio, Ruby, Python and ASP.NET.
• Experience using incident/project management software.
• Experience with multiple integrated software products/services.
• Experience with customers to resolve complex issues and provide workarounds.
• Experience with Git, Visual Studio, Virtual Machines, Excel, Postman or other API/REST client.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Proficiency using AI tools for technical problem solving and code generation.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI system safety.
• Willingness to learn Medidata AI systems and clinical platform models.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for internal and external customers.
• Manage work requests describing issues or bugs.
• Develop fixes or SQL scripts to resolve problems or apply patches.
• Provide process analysis and improvement recommendations.
• Participate in on-call rotations for urgent issues.
• Handle VIP customer calls during business hours.
• Differentiate between app, DB, OS, network, and hardware problems and own resolution.
• Present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Document resolution steps for knowledge base and reporting.
• Keep SME knowledge up-to-date on Medidata products.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure product efficiency and compliance.
