Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Technical Services engineer based in Palo Alto for a hybrid role. You will work with our largest customers on complex, mission-critical challenges, ramping up before escalating, and then staying stretched to grow.

You’ll deepen expertise in core MongoDB areas, combining technical rigor with empathetic communication, and advocate for customer needs to influence priorities. The role requires strong Linux admin, troubleshooting distributed systems, and experience with cloud

Qualifications

Strong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills.
Experience supporting and troubleshooting complex, mission-critical production systems.
Diagnosis and tracing across distributed systems and microservices.
Familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL concepts; MongoDB experience preferred.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficiency in scripting and production automation.

Responsibilities

Support and troubleshoot complex production systems for large-scale database-backed applications.
Collaborate with customers to resolve incidents and improve deployment performance.
Translate technical issues into clear communication and action plans.
Partner with product and engineering to influence priorities based on field feedback.
