Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to advise customers and resolve complex MongoDB problems across the ecosystem, including Atlas and Cloud Manager. This remote role targets East Coast candidates with a 6–9 month ramp and a Monday–Friday 7 AM–4 PM EST shift, then Saturday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Sunday with a 20% weekend uplift.

Qualifications

• Systems engineering experience including Linux performance, memory, I/O, configuration, security, networking, clusters, troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS).
• Storage engineering experience: NAS, SAN, SSD, multi-pathing, caching.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex MongoDB architecture, performance, recovery, and security issues for customers.
• Mentor and ramp new team members; help build knowledge of new product lines within MongoDB.
• Collaborate with product management and development teams to improve support tooling and diagnostics.
