Job summary

MongoDB is seeking Technical Services Engineers on the east coast for a remote role. You will apply deep technical expertise to advise customers and solve complex MongoDB problems, spanning the database server, drivers, cloud services, and infrastructure.

You will work with our largest customers, addressing architecture, performance, security, and recovery, mentor new teammates, and help build internal tools while aligning with product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, and security.
• Strong understanding of networking: DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS.
• Storage engineering experience with NAS, SAN, SSD, caching.
• Experience building and maintaining production databases.
• Ability to read code and script in languages like Java, Python, or Go.
• Broad awareness of customer workloads and performance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Help customers by solving complex MongoDB problems across architecture, performance, and recovery.
• Collaborate with product management and development to advocate for customer needs.
• Mentor and ramp new team members and contribute to internal tooling.
• Participate in building knowledge of new product lines within the MongoDB ecosystem.
