Job summary

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Neurological Surgery is seeking a full-time, hybrid Surgery Scheduler 2 to join our Miami team. The role acts as liaison between patients, staff, and physicians, coordinating surgical and diagnostic procedures and ensuring timely scheduling.

You will manage pre-authorizations, maintain calendars, and coordinate pre-op clearances, testing, and post-op appointments while ensuring accurate documentation for billing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries, pre-op testing, and related procedures.
• Obtain pre-authorizations and verify insurance.
• Maintain and update electronic scheduling systems and calendars.
