Job summary

Dominion Energy Virginia’s Electric Transmission - Substation Engineering group seeks engineers and technical specialists to join the Protection & Control Design team. Responsibilities include developing protection and control design packages, relay logic diagrams, and wiring diagrams for 11kV–500kV substations.

The role supports projects from concept through detailed design with cross-functional collaboration and adherence to standards. Hybrid 3-2 schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalency not accepted in lieu of required degree.
• 0–2 years for Associate Engineer; 2+ years for Engineer; 0–2 years for Engineering Tech Specialist I; 2+ years for Tech Specialist II.
• Experience in electric utility/substation environment preferred.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams, relay logic, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify protection and control design packages for substation projects.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure complete design deliverables.
• Support project scope, design requirements and project deliverables.
• Independently develop protection system designs for complex projects.
