Job summary
Dominion Energy Virginia is seeking an engineer or engineering technical specialist to join Electric Transmission - Substation Engineering - Physical Design. You will shape the high-voltage grid (69kV–500kV) through detailed design, documentation and construction review for greenfield, brownfield, data center, and renewables projects.
Required: 4-year engineering degree, ABET-accredited or equivalent, with 0–2+ years (Associate/Engineer levels) and strong communication, planning, and teamwork
Qualifications
- ABET accredited or equivalent engineering degree required.
- 4-year engineering degree with ABET accreditation or recognized equivalent.
- Possess professional engineer license or eligibility.
- Spring 2027 graduates may be considered for this role.
- Strong communication, planning and team skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed substation design and construction review.
- Create and maintain electrical, mechanical and control drawings.
- Prepare engineering packages, perform calculations and analyses.
- Review critical substation documents such as one-line diagrams and cable schedules.
- Support site visits and coordinate with other disciplines.
