Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Physical Project Designer to join a project team focused on high and extra high voltage substations. You will prepare and review complex substation drawings and lead field visits with clients and contractors.

The role requires 12+ years of design experience, an associate degree, and fluency in Spanish and English. The position is hybrid, with relocation assistance possible, and offers collaboration across disciplines and design teams.

Qualificações

• 12+ years of substation physical design experience.
• An Associates Degree in Drafting or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize Equipment Details and clearance requirements.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English (speak, read, write).
• Ability to multi-task and visualize parts in 3D without software aid.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and review Substation General Arrangement, Equipment Plans, Elevations, BOM, and related plans.
• Lead field walkdowns with clients and contractors; discuss issues and gather data.
• Provide guidance on codes/standards and contribute to design quality improvements.
• Mentor designers and drafters; supervise production of design deliverables.
• Develop cost-effective design approaches and integrate inputs from other disciplines.
