Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Physical Designer in the United States for a hybrid in-office/remote setup. You will work in a project team with engineers and other designers on high and extra high voltage substations, producing general arrangement, equipment plans, sections, BOMs, grounding, conduit, and related drawings.

Required: at least 10 years of substation physical design experience, an Associate’s Degree in Drafting (or substantial drafting coursework with equivalent

• Proficient with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Associate’s Degree in Drafting or equivalent drafting coursework/experience.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer aid.

Responsibilities

• Prepare substation drawings: General Arrangement, Equipment Plans, Section Views, BOM.
• Create Grounding, Lighting, Conduit, and Below Grade Conduit plans and details.
• Incorporate vendor information and perform client facility walkdowns.
