Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Substation Engineer 2 to join a project team focused on high voltage substation design and project management. You will contribute to planning, design, and execution, working closely with engineers and designers to meet client requirements.

You will leverage modern tools and AI-enabled approaches, participate in knowledge sharing, and may travel to client sites. A relocation package may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree with strong preference in Electrical Engineering or related engineering fields.
• Knowledge of design techniques for technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• 1+ year experience in the power or electric utility industry.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and execution.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports presenting technical and project information.
• Collaborate with peers through Communities of Practice.
• May travel to client sites as needed.
