Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer 2 to join a project team focused on high voltage substation design and project management. You will participate in conceptualization, planning, and execution, solving electrical engineering challenges, and preparing clear client-ready reports.

The role supports hybrid work and relocation benefits, with opportunities for travel to client sites. Preferred candidates hold an engineering BS with related coursework, experience in the power industry,

Qualifications

• BS degree with strong preference in engineering and coursework including Coding, 3D Modeling/Design, and AI experience.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D from design drawings without CAD aid.
• Minimum 1 year experience in power or electric utility industry.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project conceptualization, planning, and execution.
• Investigate and solve a variety of electrical engineering issues.
• Prepare reports presenting technical and project information per client and S&L formats.
• Collaborate in knowledge sharing via internal communities of practice.
• Occasional travel to client sites as needed.
