Job summary

Sargent & Lundy offers a hybrid work arrangement combining remote and in-office time for a mid-level Structural Engineer. The role focuses on leading design efforts and producing sound calculations and reports for DOE-related projects. U.S.

citizenship and ability to obtain a government security clearance are required. The position requires a BSSE or MSSE from an ABET-accredited program and at least 5 years of progressive structural engineering experience, including foundations and structures

Qualifications

Must be a US citizen and able to obtain US Government security clearance.
5+ years of progressive structural engineering experience.
Experience with foundations, structures, and support structures design.
Experience producing design drawings, analyses, calculations, and construction/procurement specifications.

Responsibilities

Lead structural design on multi-discipline project teams.
Produce calculations, analyses, drawings, specifications, and reports.
Apply structural engineering to design and qualification of structures and components.
Produce structural procurement and construction specifications.
Monitor staff work, manage tasks to schedule and budget.
Attend project meetings and perform field walkdowns; mentor junior engineers.
