Job summary

Sunrun Inc. seeks a Certified Hybrid Field Technician to support solar installation site assessments, inspections, and field work across residential sites. You’ll collect measurements, photos, and data, verify roof and electrical conditions, and ensure readiness for AHJ and utility approvals.

You’ll follow intraday schedules, work across varied locations, and collaborate with install teams to keep projects moving safely and efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman/electrical certification preferred.
• PV design/installation experience helpful (reading blueprints, interpreting NEC).
• Comfort climbing roofs and working from ladders.

Responsibilities

• Visit customer homes to collect measurements, photos, and data for solar design.
• Assess roof conditions and electrical service panels per standardized protocols.
• Submit survey data using mobile field tools in a timely, accurate manner.
• Perform post-installation inspection visits to ensure readiness for AHJ/utility approvals.
• Collaborate with install teams to resolve inspection-related issues and ensure compliance.
