Job summary

Nationwide Technology is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering Leader to oversee data-driven engineering teams and guide delivery of secure, scalable software solutions. You’ll coach Lean, agile, and DevSecOps practices across data platforms, pipelines, and analytics/ML workloads, partnering with governance and architecture to raise engineering maturity.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of technology engineering experience.
• Three or more years of management experience preferred.
• Experience leading teams in a matrixed environment.
• Insurance/financial services industry knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to protect data and solutions.
• Manages software engineering and development capability uplift.
• Enables and champions innovation to advance engineering practices and delivery outcomes.
• Coaches teams on Lean, agile, DevSecOps, and automation; shares methodologies across areas.
• Drives metrics-driven improvement (time to market, quality, efficiency).
• Leads associate management including performance, salary, training, and hiring.
