Job summary
Early Warning Services LLC is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer II to improve reliability, resilience, and operability of production services. You will partner with Software Engineering and other technology teams to ensure observability and recoverability are built into systems across the lifecycle.
The role emphasizes independence, identification of reliability risks, automation, and guiding reliability decisions within assigned services.
Qualifications
- Typically 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in Software Engineering or SRE.
- Experience with modern programming languages and distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud technologies and architectures, preferably AWS.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Apply software engineering, automation, and DevOps practices to improve service delivery.
- Identify reliability risks using data, experiments, and rigorous analysis.
- Define and improve SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and health metrics.
- Improve observability with metrics, logging, tracing, and dashboards.
- Lead or participate in incident response and blameless post-incident reviews.
- Collaborate with software engineering to embed reliability and performance in lifecycle.
