Job summary

Early Warning Services LLC is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to apply software and systems engineering practices to improve reliability and scalability of production services. You will partner with software teams to ensure observability and operational readiness throughout the lifecycle.

The role emphasizes independence, automation, and data-driven decisions, with on-call responsibility and opportunities to influence CI/CD and incident response practices in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in SRE/Software Engineering or related field.
• Experience with distributed systems, automation, and observability.
• Experience with public cloud technologies, preferably AWS.

Responsibilities

• Use software engineering, automation, and DevOps principles to improve how services are built, tested, deployed, observed, operated, and recovered.
• Identify reliability risks, test assumptions, and guide technical decisions with data and evidence.
• Define, implement, or improve SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for service health.
• Improve observability through metrics, logging, tracing, monitoring, and dashboards.
• Drive CI/CD, observability, deployment practices, and infrastructure as code improvements.
• Identify recurring production issues and translate experience into code and tooling improvements.
• Partner with software teams to ensure reliability and scalability throughout the lifecycle.
• Participate in or lead incident response and blameless post-incident reviews.
• Contribute to on-call rotations and diagnose incidents and degradations.
