Job summary

Tighe & Bond is seeking a Project Manager 1 to join the Land Use Team in Westfield, MA. You will lead civil/site design projects, coordinate teams, manage clients, and ensure compliance and quality across phases from concept to construction.

The role requires strong technical skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HydroCAD, with a focus on sustainability, permitting, and risk management. Hybrid work and professional growth opportunities are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning; Master’s preferred.
• 10–13 years of experience in civil/site design, land use planning, or project management.
• Active PE license or AICP certification.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D (2014 or later), and HydroCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, coordination, and execution of civil engineering projects across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.
• Oversee project teams, manage client relationships, and ensure delivery of site/civil projects with quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Prepare site/civil construction documents and technical specifications.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
• Mentor project staff and junior engineers, fostering collaboration and growth.
• Ensure environmental permitting documents are prepared and submitted per regulations.
• Apply sustainable design principles, including LEED and ENV SP where applicable.
