Tighe & Bond is seeking a Project Manager 1 to join our Land Use Team in Manchester, NH. You’ll lead civil/site design efforts from concept through construction, coordinating with a diverse team of engineers and clients to deliver infrastructure projects across the Northeast.

The role requires 10–13 years of experience, PE or AICP certification, and strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. We offer a hybrid work environment, professional growth opportunities, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10–13 years of experience in civil/site design, land use planning, or project management.
• Active PE license or AICP certification.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D (2014 or later), and HydroCAD.
• Strong understanding of environmental permitting processes and land use regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute engineering design tasks for civil/site development projects, from conceptual design through construction documentation.
• Develop project plans, allocate resources, and establish schedules for timely, cost-effective delivery.
• Lead design and preparation of site/civil construction documents (layouts, grading plans, stormwater systems).
• Prepare technical specifications, cost opinions, and project reports.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance, resolve design conflicts, and address project requirements across phases.
• Oversee environmental permitting documents and land use applications.
• Mentor project staff and junior engineers to foster collaboration and growth.
• Apply site/civil design skills using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD; ensure QC across deliverables.
• Incorporate sustainable design principles (LEED, ENV SP) where applicable.
• Analyze risks and develop mitigation strategies related to cost, feasibility, and schedules.
