Job summary

Tighe & Bond is seeking a Site Civil Project Engineer 2 in Westfield, MA, to work within our Land Use team on infrastructure projects across the Northeast. The role emphasizes design delivery, regulatory compliance, and mentorship in a hybrid work environment.

Applicants should have a Civil Engineering degree, 8–10 years of relevant experience, and a MA PE or the ability to obtain within a year. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HydroCAD is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license in Massachusetts or ability to obtain within one year.
• 8–10 years of experience in civil/site design, land development, or infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute engineering design tasks for civil/site development projects across land development, energy, transportation, coastal, utility, and infrastructure sectors.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, cost estimates, and project reports for planning and execution.
• Conduct construction observation and contractor supervision to ensure quality and compliance with design specs.
• Perform stormwater analysis, hydrologic modeling, and site grading using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD or equivalent.
• Participate in client meetings and present findings to municipal/regulatory agencies.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for consistency with requirements and standards.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and support a collaborative team culture.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and municipal standards.
