Tighe & Bond, Inc. in Westwood, MA is seeking an Entry Level Staff Engineer to join the Site Civil Design Team. You will contribute to infrastructure projects across the Northeast, with a hybrid work arrangement and mentorship to support professional growth.

The role focuses on site planning, design, permitting, and coordination with experienced engineers, with opportunities to advance as you gain credentials and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
• FE Exam and EIT certification, or plan to obtain by 2027.
• Internship experience in surveying, engineering, permitting or construction observation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams).
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; organized and self-motivated.
• Preferred: Master's degree and hands-on design software experience.

Responsibilities

• Support site planning and design, problem-solving, and permitting.
• Draft figures, details, and plans for projects.
• Perform field work in support of design and construction.
• Prepare design calculations and opinions of probable construction cost.
• Prepare technical specs, memos, reports, and project correspondence.
• Understand design standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide construction phase services including observations and review of submittals.
