Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a detail-oriented Ability Analyst to support Short-Term Disability claims. This role requests strong customer service, medical terminology proficiency, and experience in claims processing, with a hybrid schedule and travel during training.

You will engage with internal and external stakeholders, analyze data to guide decisions, and uphold claim standards while supporting Diversity and Inclusion initiatives within Group Benefits Claims.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 1+ years of customer service experience required.
• 1+ years of claims experience preferred.
• Medical terminology experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and multi-system navigation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by meeting the needs of internal and external customers.
• Serve as a key contact for Short-Term Disability claims in a fast-paced environment.
• Apply analytical thinking and judgment to evaluate information and determine appropriate actions.
