Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, has an opening for a Principal Program Cost Controls Specialist (Grade P3) supporting Operations in Tucson, AZ. This role involves managing costs and schedules on EVMS-based contracts using APEX/SAP EV reporting tools and delivering monthly program metrics.

You will collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams, perform budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis of labor and material, and prepare Earned Value reports to ensure

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience, or an Advanced Degree with related experience.
• Experience with Excel pivot tables and advanced formulas.
• Experience in manufacturing/production based operations and supply chain finance.

Responsibilities

• Work with functional teams during EAC development and monitor performance against budgets.
• Support month-end close financial planning activities.
• Interact with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations functions.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis of labor and material.
• Contractual and internal EVMS reporting, including monthly program metrics.
• Risk and opportunity valuation and impact on contract profitability.
• Process budget change requests.
• Handle ad-hoc requests.
