Job summary

RTX is seeking a Principal Program Cost Controls Specialist in Tucson, hybrid work model, to manage costs and schedules on EVMS-based contracts and support Operations. You will collaborate across finance, quality, supply chain and operations to ensure programs stay within negotiated parameters.

Ideal candidates will have EVMS experience, SAP/APEX systems, advanced Excel skills, and a degree with relevant experience in manufacturing or production-based finance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
• Experience with Excel (i.e. pivot tables, advanced formulas).
• Experience in manufacturing/production based Operations/Supply Chain Finance

Responsibilities

• Work with functional organizations during EAC development and monitor performance against budgets
• Support month-end close financial planning activities
• Interact with Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations functions
• Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis of labor and material
• Contractual and internal Earned Value Management reporting and monthly program metrics
• Risk and opportunity valuation and impact on contract profitability
• Process budget change requests
• Ad-hoc requests
