Job summary

Vantage Data Centers Management Company LLC seeks a Principal Engineer, Mechanical Engineering to lead mechanical design strategy for hyperscale data center projects across North America. You will guide complex technical decisions, mentor engineers, and represent mechanical discipline in strategic planning and customer engagements.

Role requires 5–8 years in mechanical design and operations in data centers, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and CFD modeling, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5-8 years of mechanical design, construction, and operations experience, data center or mission-critical.
• Proven track record leading complex technical initiatives and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with design and documentation tools and reporting platforms (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, CFD).

Responsibilities

• Define and drive mechanical engineering strategy across North American data center projects.
• Lead complex technical problem-solving and provide expert guidance on design, construction, and operations.
• Review and approve critical design decisions, submittals, and change management actions.
• Support commissioning, turnover, and operational readiness activities.
• Cross-functional collaboration with electrical, architectural, operations, and innovation engineering teams.
• Mentor and develop mechanical engineering talent and onboarding programs.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and drive continuous improvement in design standards.
