Job summary
Vantage Data Centers seeks a Principal Engineer, Mechanical Engineering to lead mechanical design strategy for hyperscale data centers across North America. You will mentor engineers, influence standards, and guide cross‑functional teams through design, construction, and operations.
Based in a US location with a hybrid work model (3 days onsite, 2 remote), you will partner with electrical, architectural, and operations teams to deliver reliable and efficient data center solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5–8 years as mechanical engineer with data center or mission‑critical experience.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and complex technical work.
Responsibilities
- Define and steer mechanical engineering strategy across NA data center projects.
- Lead complex design decisions, reviews, and change management.
- Mentor engineers and support onboarding and development.
- Collaborate with electrical, architectural and operations teams.
- Support customer engagements, RFPs, and technical presentations.
