Job summary

Nuveen is seeking a Senior Manager to lead statutory accounting and financial reporting for insurance and reinsurance activities. You will oversee a US-based team and coordinate with India resources to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will drive close, reconciliation, and reporting workflows, collaborate with auditors and policy teams, and provide strategic input on technical accounting matters affecting statements and capital adequacy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with life and annuity insurance companies including SAP and annual statements.
• Ability to manage monthly close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the close process for insurance/reinsurance activities with timely, accurate reporting.
• Review and approve GL journal entries and ensure proper classification and controls.
• Oversee reconciliations, balance sheet processes, and audit requests; coordinate with auditors and regulators.
