Job summary

Nuveen seeks a VP, Director External Reporting & Technical Accounting to lead a seasoned team responsible for quarterly and annual financial statements, and to provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in controls, audit, accounting, or finance.
• CPA or equivalent designation preferred.
• Experience with GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of Nuveen's quarterly and annual audited statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, legal, tax, and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.
• Monitor new accounting standards and regulatory developments.
• Partner with FP&A for Investor Relations reporting alignment.
• Oversee Oracle FCCS changes and data integrity.
• Develop a high-performing accounting team.
